Once upon a dream, the whole Kosmar story began with taking holidaymakers to a sleepy fishing village, well off the beaten track, with the friendliest locals you could ever hope to meet. It's getting tougher all the time to find the next big thing in great little Greek resorts, if you see what we mean. But we've done it again with Finikounda - even the name of this pearl of the Peloponnese has a magical ring to it!
Ready to tick off your checklist? Fabulous sandy beach, uncrowded even in high season - check! Popular with those really 'in the know', the Greeks themselves - check! Tiny harbour with assorted brightly painted fishing boats bobbing at anchor - check! A dozen or so tavernas (try a different one each evening) offering freshly caught fish and traditional Greek dishes - check! A tourist shop or two, a couple of friendly bars and a sticky cakes shop - check! The latest addition to Finikounda, a small night club so you can dance the night away - check! And when it comes to checking off your packing list, remember to KISS (keep it simple, sun-lovers!) Bring some good books, plenty of sun cream, your most comfortable shorts, and leave your worries behind. This is time-warp tourism, Kosmar style - checkmate!
