Kos
Like Rhodes, its close neighbour, the friendly little holiday island of Kos has a busy main town, with a Crusader castle and lively night-life, some fine beach resorts around the coastline, a mountain range providing a dramatic backdrop to the green and fertile interior, and an international airport for easy access.
