The sparkling blue waters of Nidri are usually covered in countless sails, as first-time sailors and experts alike guide dinghies and small yachts through sheltered straights between the bay's little tree-covered offshore islands, including the Onassis family's private island of Skorpios. 

Half an hour by local bus south of Lefkas Town, Nidri's numerous tavernas, tourist shops and friendly bars spread alongside the single coastal road and this bustling resort has quite a lively nightlife. There's a lovely little shingle beach lapped by crystal-clear seas, and the views, against the mountainous backdrop of the mainland opposite, are simply stunning!
