Journey time is approximately 1 hour.
Some visit the Acropolis, while others spend a few hours on the glorious beach, but to enjoy Lindos to the full, you have to stay here. Of course, that means you can also enjoy the lively nightlife in the village bars and discos when the sun goes down!
Just north of Lindos itself, Vlicha Bay is a magnificent sweep of sand and pebble beach, overlooked by impressive four-star hotels with magnificent sea views. This 'beach' is too large ever to feel crowded, and the crystal clear waters are perfect for snorkelling. There are a couple of restaurants, a supermarket and souvenir shop.
Important note: Lindos is unique in many ways. Building restrictions ensuring the village retains its original character mean accommodation is generally older and more basic than elsewhere in Rhodes. Traditional Lindian beds are raised wooden or stone platforms with double or single mattresses laid on top. The village's pedestrian-only rule means luggage must be delivered individually to your accommodation by local porters, sometimes later on in the day, so unless you decide to carry your own luggage, we recommend packing an overnight bag with essentials - and please ensure your luggage is clearly marked. Due to cobbled streets, steep inclines and numerous steps, Lindos is not suitable for those with walking difficulties.
