The quiet, adults-only San Antonio Corfu Resort is set on a hillside, with trees dotted about the grounds and views of the Ionian Sea. Kalami Bay stretches out below the hotel and a pebble beach is steps away. There are also two outdoor pools and a sun terrace that look out over the sea. The interior décor is neutral, with balcony views from the rooms. The hotel has two restaurants, open until late. If you’re spending the day catching the sea breeze by the shore, there’s also a beach bar serving drinks and light bites that stays open until early evening. If you venture into the nearby traditional village of Kalami, you’ll find some more options for bars and tavernas. For a wider selection of shops, you might try the village of Kassiopi, a few kilometres from the hotel, which is slightly livelier than quiet Kalami. Corfu is well known as a favourite among explorers and walkers, and you’ll have plenty of choice for short rambles or hikes. For instance, strong walkers could head out on an excursion to the rugged Mount Pantokrator, the highest mountain on the island. If you’d something a little more relaxed, you could take a day trip to Corfu Town to explore the fortresses, wander the streets or simply people watch from an archway bar or coffee shop. San Antonio Corfu Resort offers a shuttle service to take you to places including Kassiopi and Corfu Town. The hotel holds occasional evening entertainment.
The main restaurant offers a buffet breakfast and dinner, and at dinner there’s also the choice of an à la carte restaurant. During the day, there’s a pool bar in the hotel grounds, as well as a bar serving food and drinks by the beach.
If you fancy a break from the pool and nearby beach, you could explore the hiking options in the surrounding area or organise a trip further afield.
Kalami Beach has a pebbly shoreline and a Blue Flag rating. It’s 150m away from San Antonio Corfu Resort. The village of Kalami is peaceful and traditional, with shops, bars and tavernas lining the beach and the main road, all within walking distance of the hotel. For those who like exploring, there are some scenic coastal walks straight from the hotel. A short walk will take you to the harbour of Kouloura. Or head a similar distance in the other direction to find Yaliskari Bay, a peaceful beach. Corfu Town is 29km from the hotel and offers historic architecture, churches, winding alleys and wide boulevards to be explored. History lovers may enjoy discovering the Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. You could also spend time strolling down the famed colonnades of the Liston arcade, popping into the atmospheric restaurants and coffee shops found in its archways.
